F.A.Q.
What is the Nighthawk Foundation?
The Nighthawk Foundation Inc. established in 1994, is a 501 (c) (3) Charitable
Organization dedicated to helping handicapped children.
The Nighthawk Foundation Inc. is a unique fund raising organization because
all of its work is done by volunteers. As a result, all of the money
received from contributions goes directly toward the purchase of equipment
for a handicapped child or is paid to medical care providers for that
child. None of the contributed money is used to pay salaries.
What types of things does the Nighthawk Foundation cover?
Our mission is to defray the cost of medical expenses related to their
disability, or provide special needs such as Seeing Eye Dogs, Partheisus,
Apparatuses, Alpha Talkers, and Chair Lifts etc.
Provide equipment that will lessen the impact of a child’s disability or
reduce what may be a continuing and overwhelming medical services debt.
Financial assistance with medical bills or the purchase of needed equipment
by the foundation helps to improve the quality of life for both the
handicapped child and their family.
How does the Nighthawk Foundation select applications?
All applications are reviewed by the committee.
Once reviewed and selected for further consideration, a review committee meets
with the families to confirm the information on the application and that
the assistance is truly needed.
After the meeting with the families the review committee will take their findings
and recommendation back to the committee for approval or rejection.
